How to Use Trial Size Products To Try New Skincare

The Beauté Study | How to Use Trial Size Products | Supergoop Sunscreen

One of the best secrets in the beauty industry is trial size products. They give you the option to try a new product quickly without a huge loss of money and product. Plus, trial size products double as travel size products. Never again, TSA will take our face washes! This month, here are some of our favorite trial/travel size product empties:

The Beauté Study | How to Use Trial Size Products | Supergoop Sunscreen

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen

This little product is perfect for melanin-loved people who need a sunscreen. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen has a mattifying, clear formula for the perfect sunscreen application. For those with melanin-loved skin, it can be hard to find a sunscreen that works without a purple time. We recommend getting a trial size or sample of sunscreen. Supergoop is a winner, and we’ve tested their All Set Collection too. It’s the perfect kit for trying out their sun care products.

The Beauté Study | How to Use Trial Size Products | The Body Shop

The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution

This may not be trial size but it’s perfect for travel. The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution is a favorite with The Beauté Study Team. Our editor loves to use it as a part of her night time serum routine. Perfect for those beauty lovers just starting their skincare routines that fight acne.  We have never had a problem getting this on a flight!

The Beauté Study | How to Use Trial Size Products | Indie Lee Toner

Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner

One toner you need that is hydrating and saves your skin at the same time, this one is it!  Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner is a hydrating toner that is perfect to use in-between all your skincare steps. It contains aloe vera and hyaluronic acid. This mini version is where we began our love with the product. We did received this as a gift from the Follain team to test out, and we give it a thumbs up!

The Beauté Study | How to Use Trial Size Products | Drunk Elephant

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream

Drunk Elephant has been a highly loved brand by the IG Beauty community in 2018. As the TBS team got a chance to get their products out, we fully went for it. We got our hands on this cream. If you have a chance to try it, it is as a part of Sephora’s 2019 Birthday Gift Sets offered.

This cream is soothing with a light texture. It does not contain any fragrance while helping with your skin texture, tone, and lines. We did not find that it improves our skin appearance or hydration levels. This product does pair well with the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen.

The Beauté Study | How to Use Trial Size Products | Makeup Drop

MakeupDrop

To apply creams and masks, we have been using this tool called the MakeupDrop.  We were gifted this product to try, and we find that it makes it easy (and more sanitary) to use than our fingers.

It has been helpful to evenly apply the product on the face, neck, and décolletage. The pointed part gives you more opportunities to apply the product more effectively in the contours of your face and body. It’s a great addition to any day and night time routine.

Trial sizes can be a great way to try multiple brands at once. The benefits include not hurting your pocket though too much shopping and not wasting product if you do not like it. As an editorial platform, we do get a lot of products (either purchased or gifted). We do a gift to our team and donate to others but, uses trial size helps us give a small chance to a new brand.
