Facials
This is where you invest your money first at Rescue Spa. The facial treatments here are unbelievable. I’ve done multiple protocols: the Rescue Facial, the Fix It All Facial, the BioLift Facial, oxygen facials, microdermabrasion, and lifting treatments. Each protocol serves different purposes, and understanding which one you need requires building a relationship with an esthetician.
The Fix It All Facial is great when your skin needs recovery from stress, travel damage, hormonal breakouts, or whatever threw it out of balance. The BioLift Facial is what you book before a gala, high-end photography, or any event where you need your skin at its absolute best. The Rescue Facial is your baseline next-level facial, the starting point that shows you what clinical-grade skincare actually does.
I’ve worked with three different estheticians, but I have one signature esthetician I book with consistently. If she’s unavailable and I really need a facial, I’ll book with the others. Typically, though, I’d rather wait for her. Building that relationship matters because she knows my skin, tracks what’s working, adjusts protocols for seasons and aging, and has completely transformed my regimen over time.
The product selection is exceptional: Valmont, Biologique Recherche, and indie European brands you won’t find at Sephora. Rescue Spa’s custom protocols use these professional-grade products in combinations that deliver real results. I’ve also done back facials here, which are excellent if you deal with body acne or want the same level of care for your back that you give your face.
Waxing
This is the best waxing I’ve ever experienced. They use an Australian-based wax that catches every hair, and I mean every hair. For Brazilians, especially underarms, this is phenomenal. The technique is efficient without being rushed, and the results last longer than other waxing services I’ve tried elsewhere. If waxing is part of your beauty routine, Rescue Spa sets the standard for how it should be done.
Nails
The nail service is fantastic. They offer gel and regular manicures with phenomenal technicians who are quiet and focused on the work rather than chit-chat. The environment feels professional and calm, which I appreciate when I want to decompress during the service. I’ve noticed it tends to be an older crowd for nails, with lots of requests for nudes and classic reds.
When I come in for color like reds, blues, silvers, or pinks, the technicians get genuinely excited because they get to do something different. If you like bold color, they’ll love working with you. The quality of the manicure itself is excellent, with attention to cuticle work and polish application that lasts.
Hair
Here’s what you need to know: Rescue Spa specializes in blowouts and roller sets. If you have thick, curly hair and need curly hair care, this isn’t the place. They’re set up for blowout-based styling, not curly hair specialization. I’ve had my hair done here, but the approach to my curly hair was very different from what I needed. The staff is skilled at what they do, but what they do is classic blowout and set styling. If you have straight or wavy hair that works well with blowouts, you’ll be fine if you need curly hair expertise; book elsewhere for hair services.
Massages
The massages are fantastic. Michael is phenomenal if you can book with him. If you’re dealing with serious knots from desk work or chronic tension, you’ll need to invest more time and money here for therapeutic results. The pressure and technique are professional grade, and the environment is conducive to actual relaxation and muscle work.
Massages are my least-used service at Rescue Spa. Not because they’re lacking, but because the facials are so exceptional that I prioritize my investments there. When I need massage work, I know Rescue delivers quality. I focus my spending on what they do best: clinical-grade facial treatments.
