Welcome to All Silver Things. This blog will be focused on the discovery of beauty products, the latest trends and the editor’s thoughts. As we go on this journey together, we all should remember that we are all beautiful in our own way. If you want to know the general backstory of this blog, click here! Let’s learn more about our editor.
Where are you from?
“I am from the southside of Atlanta, GA. I am currently attending Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, GA. They do have an Atlanta-based location. My major’s classes are based in Savannah.”
So, I know you are attending college. What made you choose Art History?
“For those who don’t know, I am an Art History major with dual minors in Museum Studies and French Language & Cultural Studies. I’m a (proud) history buff and enjoy learning about the different art movements. Also, I really get into how the artwork was made and what was going on during the artist’s life. I want to be an art curator, and curators have always interested me with their work. Maybe, I will do another post on it if you want to know more.”
What’s your favorite color?
“At the moment, I am really feeling teal blue. It’s usually my go-to color in the winter with pastel sweaters and denim jeans. Plus, my mother has front room in the house with teal blue as an accent color to the grey and yellow tones surrounding it. I call it the ‘Sun Room’ due to its huge windows that face the front of the house, and it’s perfect for yoga.”
What’s your favorite song of all time?
“Mmm. That’s a tough one. One song that always gets my blood pumping is ‘Poison‘ by Bell Div Dove. My mother and I will automatically drop everything to dance to this song. If you haven’t heard of it, click here. Let me know in the comments if you like it!”
Favorite blogger at the moment?
“I would have to say Amelia from ameliasaysthis.com. Her skincare photography is always on points and she’s lovely to talk to. She inspired me to make this post with her post, ‘Meet Amelia’. Click here if you want to read it.”
What’s your favorite book?
“Oh goodness. I read too many books. I love the Harry Potter series. It has changed my life. If I had to choose a single novel, it would be ‘Speak‘ by Laura Halse Anderson. It’s a book that can change your perspective. I read it just before I entered high school. They made it into a film with Kristen Stewart as the main character. It taught me that you may not know what’s going on in someone else’s life, and I think it’s a good book on how a tragic experience can drastically change someone’s life.
Also, if you have read ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower‘, ‘Speak‘ is discussing the same topic a bit with an authentic, female point-of-view. If you want to know more about it, click here. [FYI: If you’ve ever had a horrible experience about rape, this book may not be for you. Please read the descriptions before you read the book or watch the movie!]
Please let me know in the comments below more about you! Also, what’s your favorite place in your hometown? I would love some places to visit.”
