How This Natural Hair Brand Showcases Femme Beauty

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Let’s head on into this review.

I had the opportunity to purchase the Mini Gift Set from Femme Noire at the World Natural Hair Show in Atlanta. On the way back to Savannah, the oil that came with the set broke and spill all throughout my bag. Luckily, I contacted Femme Noire for a replacement and they sent me another gift set! Thank you for A+ Customer Service.

Femme Noire is a black-owned and female-owned hair company that provides hair products for natural hair. They are cruelty-free, vegan, and free from sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, silicones & petroleum. All wins in my book!

The Dirty Curl Cleansing & Conditioning Clay

Before I tried this product, I made sure to detangle my hair and separate it into twists. This helped me apply the product evenly to my scalp and to my ends. When I first smelled it, WOW! It smells like cocoa aka chocolate. The smell at first is very overwhelming but once you apply the product, you really don’t smell it.

The Cleansing Clay made my hair feel clean without breaking the moisture barrier in my hair. I like the fact that it has different clays in it without making my hair feel super dry.

Moroccan Lava (Rhassoul) Clay, Bentonite Clay, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Water (Aqua), Vegetable Glycerin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Phenoxyethanol (Paraben Free Preservative), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Olea Europea (Olive) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa Powder), Sunflower Lecithin, Fragrance Oil

Would I repurchase it?

It comes in sizes 8 oz ($24 USD), part of the Curl Uncensored Collection Set, and inside the Gift Set.

Knotty Nectar Leave-In Conditioner

For this product, I feel like the chocolate smell is stronger. Compared to some leave-in conditioners, I feel like this one didn’t seal my hair as much for the moisture that the clay gave me. The product is somewhat very liquidy, which I am used to a more thicker type of leave-in.

Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride (Coconut Derived), Silk Amino Acids (Natural Protein), Vegetable Glycerin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Cocos Nucifera Extract (Coconut Milk), Maltodextrin, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Natural Detangling Agent), Phenoxyethanol (Paraben Free Preservative), Fragrance Oil

Would I repurchase?

No. My hair doesn’t like this product as much as the clay.

It comes in the full size of 8 oz ($19 USD), part of the Curl Uncensored Collection and Mini Gift Set.

Sweet Cream Daily Moisturizer

This moisturizer also has the chocolate smell but, it helped with the frizz side of my hair. This product was truly tested with the Savannah humidity climate all this well. The short curls in the back of my hair love this product especially for keeping it soft.

Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Palm Kernel Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Sunflower Lecithin, Phenoxyethanol (Paraben Free Preservative), Fragrance Oil

Would I repurchase?

It comes in the full size of 8 oz. ($24 USD), part of the Curl Uncensored Collection and the Mini Gift Set.

Flower Bomb Hair Growth Oil

I like the moisturizing aspect of this oil. It wasn’t too drying, or too heavy. I love the fact that there is Ylang Ylang Oil in it which helped my frizz. I believe this product would be perfect for a pre-poo oil since it’s light, easy to wash out and brings softness to the hair.

Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Rosa Centifolia (Rose) Petals, Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Flower Oil, Fragrance Oil

Would I repurchase?

Overall, I really like this collection of products. They are natural and very moisturizing to my hair. I would say these products for me aren’t going to be a part of my wash and go style. For my hair (3b), I would say these products for me are best for protective styles like cornrows.

Be blessed,

Sterling x
